Richmond, VA--The Board of Game and Inland Fisheries will hold a meeting on Thursday, August 23, 2001, at 4000 West Broad Street beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Board will meet to adopt 2001-2002 hunting seasons and bag limits for migratory waterfowl (ducks and coots, geese and brant, swan, gallinules, and moorhens), and falconry, based on frameworks provided by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The Board will solicit and receive comments from the public during the public hearing portion of the meeting, at which time any interested citizen present shall be heard. The Board may also review possible proposals for legislation for the 2002 session of the General Assembly; discuss general and administrative issues, and hold a closed session at some time during the meeting. The Board may elect to hold a dinner Wednesday evening, August 22, at a location and time to be determined. In the event the Board does not complete its entire agenda on August 23 it may convene the following day, August 24, 2001, as well.
