In early September, the New Jersey Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife stocked more than 5,000 tiger muskies and will continue to stock nearly 44,000 channel catfish throughout the month in selected waters statewide. The fish were reared at the Division^s Hackettstown Hatchery in Warren County and have the potential to reach 20 pounds or more.
"Both species have enormous growth potential and will provide anglers with some exciting opportunities in the future," said Division Director Bob McDowell.
The tiger muskies were stocked as follows:
