Recreational crabber Frank A. Skubal Jr., 41, of RD1, Millsboro, was arrested Thursday, Aug.12 by a Division of Fish and Wildlife enforcement agent for possession of 43 undersized blue crabs.
He pled guilty on four counts at Justice of the Peace Court No. 1 and was fined $325 and costs for a total of $507.50.
The larger than usual penalty was assessed because of the number of undersized crabs involved and the fact that Skubal had separated them from the legal crabs and concealed them with the apparent intention of keeping them.
The undersized crabs were returned to the water.
