EDGEMERE, MD (-- The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) State Forest and Park Service and the North Point State Park Volunteers, Inc. will host a Youth Fishing Derby on July 24 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at North Point State Park. Children ages 16 and under are welcome to register for the event by calling (410) 592-2897.
Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish caught and winners of a casting contest. Registrants should bring their own rod and reel. Registration is $2 per child.
