Description: Great frigatebird of the Galapagos. These vultures of the sea have a magnificent wingspan and and can be seen gliding in circles with their distinctive forked tail and angled wings. During amazing courtship displays, the male frigate inflates a huge red sac or gular under its throat and flutters its spread wings to attract the attention of the female.
