Recently I have bought a baitcaster reel. I spooled in a backup nylon line and then continued with dyneema braided line (to save the braided line). After that I try casting. The big problem is the lure/bait can't go far. It just go 3-4 feet away from the position I am standing. I have try to set the cast control knob to the correct standard and also loosen the cast control knob but it just can't go far. It just like playing yo-yo. When I cast it just dive few feet away from my standing position. When casting, the bait not flying in a curve path but just simply dive in. Is it my casting technique is wrong. When casting I pull back my rod to the 2 o'clock position and release the thumb before the 10 o'clock position. Can anybody help me?
