Comparing my son's Springfield GI45 with my Springfield Milspec. Outwardly you note the Milspec has a lowered ejection port, slanted slide serrations, and higher sights. It is also throated for modern ammo. Otherwise they are very much the same. Image # 36531 - 01/11/2010
