CAMPING IN CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK

There are two campgrounds inside the park:

Mazama Campground, operated by the park's concessionaire, contains 200 sites and is open from June through mid-October. Reservations are not taken, but generally there are plenty of sites available. The campground offers running water, fire rings, picnic tables, and flush toilets. Wheelchair sites are available. The fee for 1997 was $13 per tent/camper site or $14 per RV site.

Lost Creek Campground contains 16 sites for tent camping only. It is located in the southeast corner of the park on the spur road to the Pinnacles overlook. It is open from July through mid-September. Fees are $10 per site.

For more information on backcountry camping in the park, visit the Crater Lake National Park Trails section.
