Officer's
field writing desk and "filing cabinet" The rustic table is
said to have been used in Union General John Sedgewick's headquarters.
Lieutenant John L. Wright, Co. K, 5th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, probably wrote
letters to his family as well as official correspondence on the folding writing desk
on the table.
The saddle bags on the chair belonged to Confederate Col. L. H. Simpson.
The folding desk in the rear is one of the privileges Union Lieutenant Leigh
employed in General Daniel Sickle's 111 Corps.
