For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Unfortunately the guys who can't place shots with something that doesn't kick the heck out of them probably can't do any better with the larger chamberings. As to hunting with the AR: Lots more folks are doing just that these days. When you come down to it the AR-type rifles aren't any more deadly than a Browning or Remington semi-auto. If you go back far enough there was a prejudice against those who abandoned the lever-action rifles to hunt with the military bolt-actions. If we look back from 100-years in the future maybe this will be seen in a similar light? |
