Section 9: Hunting Subject: Black Rifles In The Field Msg# 815424

| I was just continuing the conversation Darryl. Nothing personal intended. FWIW, nothing I'm aware of in Virginia's game laws would prevent use of an AR so long as it is legal to use a rifle in the particular county, and that caliber restrictions are observed. (Virginia requires use of .23 caliber or larger for deer, so the .223/5.56 would NOT be legal for deer. 6.8 SPC, 6.5 Grendel, .30 Blackout, etc. would all be legal calibers.) | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The way you and i think there is no difference. As far as I know there may be a law prohibiting the evil black rifle.... I am only assuming the laws would say it is legal. As far as I know there is no law in any state prohibiting an AR but if there was I wouldn't know. So, I asked him the question assuming it would be legal in case it was illegal in his state if he would hunt with an AR. I hope that makes sense.... |
